LossLink Community Guidelines

Welcome to the LossLink Community. Our goal is to provide a supportive, respectful, and safe environment for everyone. To ensure a positive experience for all members, please adhere to the following Community Guidelines. These rules are based on the Terms of Use you agreed to upon registration. We reserve the right to remove any content or take action against any behavior that we deem harmful to the community.

Respect Others

Personal Attacks

Personal attacks, insults, or threats are not allowed. Do not post any content that is harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

Privacy

Do not post content that invades another member’s privacy, such as exposing real-life identities or personal information without consent.

Banning

Violating this rule will result in an automatic ban from the LossLink Community.

Maintain Civility

Clean Content

Avoid vulgarity, profanity, and derogatory statements. Content should be appropriate for a diverse audience, including images and videos.

Healthy Debate

Respectful debate is encouraged, but instigating personal attacks is prohibited.

Hate Speech

Any form of hate speech, including derogatory or bigoted comments based on race, sex, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or mental capacity, will result in an immediate ban.

Community Harmony

No Ganging Up

Encouraging others to gang up on, harass, or bully another member is not allowed.

Authenticity

Impersonation or creating false accounts to deceive, harass, or mislead others is prohibited. Claiming to be a site administrator or moderator is also forbidden and will lead to a permanent ban.

Responsible Posting

No Spamming

Do not flood the forums with repetitive posts. Spamming disrupts the community and is unwelcome.

Accurate Information

Ensure that the information you share is honest and supported by facts. Posts with health-related or medical information should include reliable references and/or a warning that this is just your opinion and/or experiences.

No Advertising

Advertising and promotional posts are not allowed. This includes opinions about products you are affiliated with, unless it’s in designated sponsor groups approved by LossLink moderators.

No Solicitations

Requests for donations are not permitted to protect our members.

Member Safety

Minors

Community members must be at least 18 years old. Accounts created by minors will be closed.

Protect Your Identity

Your username, avatar, and posts are public. Avoid sharing personal information like your address or phone number.

Reporting Violations

If you believe a post violates these rules, report it using the “Report a Violation” link on the post or email [email protected]. Multiple reports of the same issue are unnecessary. Help us maintain a safe and supportive community.

What are discussion groups?

Discussion Groups are forums where members with similar interests can connect and share information.

Whats the difference between user-created and LossLink-branded groups?

LossLink-branded groups are created and moderated by our staff. User-created groups are moderated by their creators with support from LossLink moderators as needed.

How do I join a group?

Click the Join This Group” button. You will receive daily email updates about the group’s activity, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. You can also leave the group whenever you wish.

What is a moderator?

Moderators are LossLink staff members who help keep the community friendly and welcoming. Contact them at [email protected].

Are posts ever removed?

We strive to maintain a safe community by removing harmful content. Discussions and posts that violate guidelines will be deleted. Inactive user-created groups may be archived after three months. Deleted accounts, discussions, or posts are permanent and cannot be restored.

How do I appeal a moderation decision?

Email [email protected] with your username, a link to the post, or a screenshot of the chat, along with an explanation of your appeal. Messages containing profanity will result in a permanent ban.

Reporting Illegal Content

To report illegal content, email [email protected]. Illegal content includes material violating laws, such as child exploitation, cybercrime, fraud, or incitement of violence. For immediate threats, contact local law enforcement.
