This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or interact with LossLink (the Site”).

WHO WE ARE

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or posts that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as Device Information”.

We collect information about you during the signup process as well as some basic activities such as the dates you make purchases, login to the site, or cancel/pause/resume your subscriptions with us.

When you subscribe with us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and subscriptions. This may include payment receipts, password reset emails, and payment reminders.
  • Create your membership account

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • Log files”: Track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

Additionally, when you interact with the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and any other details you provide. We refer to this information as User Information”.

When we talk about Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and User Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the User Information that we collect to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Provide you with support and assistance;
  • Improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our users browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site.

WHO ON OUR TEAM HAS ACCESS?

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, site thOwner/Administrators can access:

  • Order information such as your membership subscriptions, payment dates and amounts, and username / email address.

Any additional information added in your Member Profile, Discussions, or Chats, can also be visible to the Administrator(s).

COOKIES

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish content on this site, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. PAYMENTS

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you interact with the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

DATA RETENTION

When you interact with the Site, we will maintain your User Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
